Glastonbury Goddess Conference

During the last week of July,  Cathy and Anita-Cristina went to Glastonbury, England, to participate in the Glastonbury Goddess Conference and to teach a belly dance workshop at the pre-conference "fringe" events.  The conference, in its 10th year is the vision of Kathy Jones, author, priestess and teacher of a priestess training program.

The theme of the conference was "Goddesses of Love", and so the workshop we presented was The Sacred Sensual™.  This workshop is focused on awakening the senses and uses belly dance movements and other exercises to accomplish this goal.  It was very well received by all who participated, and we got lots of wonderful feedback.

Click here to read an article about the 2005 conference that appeared in Goddess Alive magazine  written by Georgina Sirret-Hardie,  a conference participant, presenter and Priestess-in-training.  Our contribution is mentioned in the third paragraph...

We also got to teach the dance of the Sea Anemone to about 250-300 participants as part of the opening ceremony.  Can you picture it?

Alas, we failed to take ANY photos of our workshop, or of the opening ceremony!  DUH!  Must have been the jet lag...

** Update 6/6/06 - Here are a couple of photos of AC & Cathy teaching the Dance of The Sea Anemone at the opening ceremonies of the conference...
