Dancing's 2005 Year End Showcase
On June 25th, 2005, at the Green Street
Studios in Cambridge, MA, The Goddess Dancing presented it's 12th Year End
Showcase titled "Circles & Cycles". The theme of the show was the sacred
and powerful shape of the Circle: whole, contained, cellular. And
about the stages we encounter as we Cycle through this journey called Life...

Circle Dream
There are times - chaotic, scary,
depressing times, when we forget. We forget we are connected. We
forget to ask. We forget to open. We forget that even though we are
alone in or out of the circle, the circle is always there- permeable and whole.

What's Old is New Again
An affectionate tribute to the cabaret
and Hollywood dancers that came before us and brought belly dance to America.

The Venus Pool
We all need a place. A place to
visit, a place to speak, a place to listen. There used to be such places
for all to use. Peaceful, protected, holy places. It's not too late
for you to find your place, to go there, and to feel the transformation.

Crone
Of all the cycles we must endure, old
age seems the most unfathomable. But, the crone has the power of all the
passages thus endured. Yes, we have memories of youth, of responsibilities
and parenthood, and even old age itself. And now, here we are on the other
side, looking into the cauldron and seeing the unbroken chain of our lives,
believing that the final cycle in just the beginning of the circle...
